The Full Story
Shrikant Biswakarma (Strings of Karma) is a guitarist, teacher and composer based in New Delhi. Music had always reverberated in his family and he started leaning guitar from his brother when he was 15. He later attended Delhi School of Music where he completed his Grade 8 in classical guitar under Mr. Tej Gurung. In a few months, he had already started teaching in Parikrama School of Music alongside late Sonam Sherpa.
He has garnered eight years of experience in performing in Delhi and beyond and regularly plays sessions for Antariksh, Anirudh Varma Collective, Lucia & The Fellowship, Saptak Chatterjee and has accompanied the noted flautist Pandit Ajay Prasanna.
In 2013, he played at the Hornbill Festival, and at the closing ceremony of the South Asian Games in 2016. NH7 Weekender was another fun event for him in 2019 and featured alongside Saptak Chatterjee and the band on Kappa TV (Music Mojo) in 2020. He has recorded with the noted musician, composer and producer Leslie Lewis and recently collaborated with the legendary Marty Friedman while recording for Antariksh.
He has toured internationally with Antariksh and Lucia in Mauritius, Madagascar, U.A.E., Oman and Nepal. With over 8 years of teaching experience, he has now worked for schools in New Delhi like Parikrama School of Rock, Theme Music Institute, The British School, Bluebells School International and is currently working at the Institute of Music Dynamics, Gurgaon. Has also been actively judging music competitions in schools and colleges in the NCR.
